Welcome to Moreno Café, Northcote’s newest neighbourhood café and bakery, where Filipino culture meets Kiwi favourites in a way that feels vibrant, playful, and deliciously different.

Chino, Demi, and Adrian, well-known from their days at Burger Burger and Ozone in Grey Lynn, have brought their creative energy to the North Shore. And the result? A warm, contemporary café space that blends personality, comfort, and community into every detail.

A Café With Heart

Step into Moreno and you’re immediately greeted by the scent of freshly baked breads and pastries. Everything is made in-house daily, and the menu is just as enticing as the aroma, playful twists on Kiwi brunch classics infused with Filipino flavours that surprise and delight.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee and cabinet treat or settling in for brunch with friends, Moreno has designed the space to make you feel instantly at home.

Furniture That Complements the Flavour

We’re proud to see our custom booth seating, timber Mini Rocket stools, and Benco chairs seamlessly integrated into Moreno’s interior.

The soft booth seating creates an intimate, inviting feel, perfect for weekend catch-ups or midweek solo coffees.
The Phoenix Square Table, with its sturdy pedestal base and popular Earth stain finish, anchors the setting with timeless style and durability.
And the Benco chairs, with their natural tones and timeless design, bring a sense of lightness and warmth to the space.
Our Mini Rocket timber stools add character to the communal table, encouraging shared moments and conversation.

Custom Joinery for a Seamless Design

Beyond furniture, our team also crafted:

The central shelving unit, designed to frame the café beautifully while keeping the space open and social.
The reception counters, balancing earthy tones with clean, contemporary lines.
The bakery cabinet, tailored to showcase Moreno’s freshly baked creations in style.
By combining furniture and bespoke joinery, we helped create a space that feels inviting, functional, and completely unique to Moreno.
