The choice of materials used in furniture and upholstery can have a significant impact on sustainability. Sustainable materials include those that are renewable, recycled, or repurposed. We do our part by endeavoring that all our timber and timber-based materials originate from verifiable accredited suppliers and are committed to reducing waste and minimizing the use of non-renewable resources.
Delivery schedules are carefully and routinely planned to optimize the transport carbon footprint while serving our customers as effectively as possible. Additionally, we are actively transitioning our factory and warehouse to 'low energy' lighting to further reduce our environmental impact.
At Archer Concepts, we prioritize the use of premium materials and construction techniques, ensuring our products withstand regular use and stand the test of time. By adopting this approach, we actively contribute to waste reduction in the industry, offering consumers long-term value for their investment.
Social sustainability holds significant importance. At Archer Concepts, we prioritize ethical labor practices by forging partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers who uphold fair wages and maintain safe working conditions. This commitment enables us to foster a sustainable supply chain while supporting the livelihoods of industry workers. Moreover, we firmly uphold the values of ethical conduct and integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We are resolute in our stance against modern slavery within our own operations and work diligently to prevent its occurrence within our supply chains.
We are dedicated to minimizing our environmental footprint through the implementation of recycling and waste reduction practices. We actively recycle various materials such as fabric scraps, foam, and wood, diverting them from landfills. In our production processes, we strive to incorporate recycled materials whenever feasible. For instance, fabric scraps find new purpose as filling and lining, adding an extra layer of comfort to our diverse range of furniture. Additionally, we prioritize the reuse of cardboard packaging until its lifespan is exhausted, after which it is responsibly recycled by a local Animal Bedding/Garden Mulch company.
We ensure that all our waste lacquers and paints are sent away for re-processing and recycling. Onsite, any waste lacquer that's still liquid is put through a solvent recycler to extract the solvent out. The remaining waste is then sent to Environz for proper disposal.
By adopting these sustainable practices, we strive to make a positive impact on the environment and promote a circular economy. Archer Concepts are finding ways to repurpose or recycle furniture products at the end of their lifecycle, reducing waste and contributing to a circular economy.
The furniture and upholstery industry are increasingly adopting sustainable practices, from the use of sustainable materials to energy efficiency and ethical labour practices. These sustainable approaches not only reduce the environmental impact of the industry but also create healthier working conditions and provide consumers with products that offer long-term value. By prioritizing sustainability, furniture and upholstery Archer Concepts can build a more resilient and profitable future while helping to create a more sustainable world.
We firmly believe that fostering a culture of helping others is an inherent part of every thriving company's DNA.
